Details of Emotional Wellbeing treatments

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy uses essential oils either topically (that is, applied to the skin), via inhalation, ingestion or by diffusion. While some think that essential oils are a new trend, we know that using plants to promote a healthy body is a time-honoured tradition that’s been a part of societies for centuries. Plants and plant extracts have been used by almost every ancient civilisation in the world, including the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans.

For those of us looking for natural ways to care for our bodies and our families, essential oils provide an alternative to chemical products, giving you a safe option for protecting your body and home from toxins.

The treatment programme utilises aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine, aromatherapy with DoTERRA essential oils, psychological and physical exercises to work through emotional and/or physical pain as well as to boost and maintain your emotional wellbeing. The treatment is tailored to offer therapeutic support on a long term basis and is individually tailored to your emotional wellness needs.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is medical system that has been used for thousands of years. It is based on the belief that qi (the body’s vital energy) flows along meridians (channels) in the body and keeps a person’s spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health in balance.

DoTERRA essential oils of the purest and highest quality. They are highly concentrated, and thus making them extremely potent. The essential oils give a plant its aroma, protect it from harsh environmental conditions and insects and important for plant pollination.

Essential oils have a variety of benefits, ranging from soothing, toning and grounding properties, energising, uplifting, warming, or renewing. The essential oils can help us manage and maintain our overall wellbeing. Applying essential oils can create a chemical reaction in the brain, eliciting emotions and internal responses, which in general promotes emotional and physical wellbeing.

My individually tailored treatments last three to six months, with fortnightly or monthly Zoom calls or via other video app platforms, providing a comprehensive support.

AromaPressure

The AromaPressure treatment combines Aromatherapy with Acupressure EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and aims to balance the energy flow systems in our mind and body. It combines the healing aspects of essential oils in combination of EFT to increase the benefits of emotional and physical wellbeing. It is beneficial when experiencing emotional pain such as anxiety/panic, phobias and negative beliefs and physical imbalances.

This treatment is usually a short term one and often conducted in a stand-alone consultation.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is a medical system that has been used for thousands of years. It is based on the belief that qi (the body’s vital energy) flows along meridians (channels) in the body and keeps a person’s spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health in balance.

During the treatment, I utilise specific acupressure points by using manual pressure to stimulate ‘acupoints’, resulting in meridian flow and internal organ function to promote health and prevent, or ease, health imbalances.

Acupoints are located all over the body, close to the surface of the skin, and are linked together in a complex network of meridian channels and have specific effects on individual organs or body systems.

The concluding part of the AromaPressure treatment is the application of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), which was founded by Gary Craig. It’s also referred to as tapping or psychological acupressure.  The tapping stimulates the body’s energy meridian points and thus can treat physiological and emotional pain.
